Spurlock Poirier (landscape designers for The Getty) designed this intimate open space on the University of California San Diego Campus in late 2005. This academic courtyard is bordered by three buildings created by architectural giants: NBBJ, Bohlin Cywinski Jackson & CO Architects. An enormous Tim Hawkinson sculpture anchors the center of the courtyard.
